NITI Aayog said in a statement that the report draws insights from aggre-gators, hosts, and policy-makers and highlights the role of homestays in offer ing travellers "culturally immersive experiences" while fostering local entre preneurship and employ-ment generation. "It em-phasises the need for light-touch, transparent regulatory that ensure the safety of tourists and homeowners, protect heritage, and sup-port inclusive, sustainable economic growth," it said. frameworks
